legal question
Someone i know (not me) has just had a nice letter saying he was spotted by a camera van doing 81 on the motorway. No biggie.:smt092
Thing is, he had his car booked in for a MOT 2 days after he was caught as he'd just noticed it was out of date by about a month:stupid:and he'd booked it in for his next day off. QUESTION... Is this likely to get picked up in the process of his speeding fine and if so what are the ramifications.:smt071 |
Re: legal question
doupt it, they will be glad to get the money for speeding

Re: legal question
To be honest, I'm surprised they don't already know seeing as it's all computerised. (Although that would require joined-up thinking from our government)

Just don't mention it and pay the fine. |

Re: legal question
I got stopped for no insurance (tho I did have insurance, the computer just hadn`t been updated) and was given a producer. Feeling very smug I went to the police station with all my documents (including insurance). At the desk the policewoman told me my MOT was 5 days out of date!! Long story short I had to go back to the police station the following day with an up to date MOT and I was given a caution but no fine or points.
