Private Reg

Ayup Everyone

6 months ago when i swapped the car in for a bike i put my private plates on retention now i've got a proper bike i'm wanting to have it on me motor again.

i have been told by someone that if i put in on me bike then it will always have to be on a bike.

you can swap from car to bike but not from bike to car. does anyone know if this is true?

As i'm stuck btween putting the reg on our lasses car or my bike. I'd rather av it on me bike and have no intention of ever gettin rid of a bike for a car. but that said you never know wots round the corner.(:(Economic Depression n all that!!!:()

Any ideas as to which they would choose bike or car?

i bought a honda c90 just for the plate, which i transfered to my car, which was fine, i was told at the time you cant go from a car to a bike, but this was 10 years ago

now i think you can go both ways;)

Yup you deffo can as I transferred my private plate onto my bike.

The mear fact the car was in bits, and I had to get an MOT, tax, and insurance, was a bloody joke.

Dodgy MOT's and such ftw (and the cars now the size of a baked bean tin before the doo gooders start, it was mearly either spend £1500 rebuilding a car, just to get the plate off, or get dodgy stuff, get the plate off, then scrap the car).

Only prob with a private plate on the bike is your easily to pick out
