E900 usb cable
I have just purchased a USB cable for my E900 phone but my laptop isn't recognizing it and I don't have a disk to install the hardware, what do i do, me being a technophobe and all. I thought it might do it automatically but no such luck lol. I only want the photos off it!
Ta in advance, oh knowledgeable .org :joker: |

Re: E900 usb cable
My knowledge is limited :-( But when my stoopid Vista laptop says no, it usually pops up a window asking if you want to search the net for drivers.

Re: E900 usb cable
or go in device manager, and look in the USB section. Theres usually one that says unknown in brackets, if its plugged in. IIRC if you click on that it brings up a box, and if you flick through the sections you should be able to click on something along the lines of 'find driver'...something like that anyway. Its how I got all my USB things to work after six months of not even being able to get a camera compatible.

Re: E900 usb cable
Thing is I've got a feeling somethings malfunctioning because when I connect the USB to the laptop instead of the little "doo-du" noise it makes to say it's acknowledged it goes "doode-du" (so three small beeps instead of two...). That probably makes absolutely no sense! My sound effects leave a lot to be desired :-D

Linky
Choose the driver you want from that list. Thats for windows, not sure how to get it if you operate a different OS. If its for transferring files, I highly recommend a bluetooth usb link. I like my one alot :) |
