A40, Big Incident

Just checking in to make sure everyone is ok, there was a hit-and-run (apprently) on the A40 tonight, on the fly-over bit that runs above shepards bush and all that. Biker down, seems at the very least highly critical. I'm trying not to think of the other, more likley, outcome - all sorts of police were there, and several ambulances (including a special unit type ambulance).

I hope for the best for the guy hit, adn if it IS a hit-and-run, as one guy i was talking to suspects, then I hope they catch that...person....and give him what-for.

Cheers,

Matt

Thanks paws, I was looking for some info on what had happened. Dosn't appear to be anyone on here, which is something that I was worried about whe I was riding home. I saw another guy down the day before yesterday on teh A406 just past finchley, but I think he was ok.

This one sounds like a fatal incident; RIP to the biker, condolences to his family

Sorry if posting this made some people upset BTW....on that thread you posted the link to paws, some people seemed to be upset with the O.P

the people on that other board aren't overly chuffed with that easyrider guy are they..

i don't particularly mind posts of this nature provided they are factually and not full of 'i think' and 'i reckons'...

There were at least two incidents on the A40 yesterday. I'm not sure if they were the one you saw.

:( terrible...

Im glad they caught those guys who tried to run, makes me sick to think they can just leave someone lying in the road.

Think the incident matt saw was the 4.20pm one because it happened on his way home from work

i was at the one at 4.20 on the marylbone flyover. :(

RIP to both guys there. Ride safe everyone yea? its a silly time of year...the sun is back out, and with it warmth. people just want to get home so they can enjoy the sun for what little time of the day they have left, and might be paying less attention to their surroundings. low sun dosn't help matters either

Yup on reading this I though it was that incident, I read something about it at work today, never nice hearing anything like this.

Low sun, get your sun glasses on, or dark visor out thats what they are for.

Remember take it easy, don't put yourself on offer.
