What's blue and black and goes "splat"...?

Me and the TT making our application for the role of Crashy McGee this morning. :(

My first ever 'off'... but I had to have one sooner or later I suppose!

Bike: scraped all down the fairing on the RHS, indicator intact but punched a hole through the fairing, scuffs on the brake lever and mirror.

Me: a bit bumped and with a sore lower back on the side I came down on; otherwise unscathed.

Total boo-boo on my part! I was behind a car coming up to a mini roundabout, where the option is to turn left or go straight ahead (there is no road to turn into on the right). I was quite close behind and out to the right, ready to make the overtake once we'd got over the junction.

Except the car driver then decided to go back the way we'd just come and before I knew it I was looking at the side of the car turning across in front of me. Oops. I'm guessing I managed to grab all of the brakes I could (which on the TT are very good) and splat, down I went, right in the middle of the white blob of the roundabout. Missed the car by centimetres I think. I assume the driver was oblivious to what happened as they didn't stop.

Another car driver stopped (unless it was the same one who came back to see if I was okay), but by this point a couple of very nice men from a shop by the junction had run over to help me. Their shop is a sign-making one so they sorted out my floppy (but still working) indicator / fairing panel with some nicely colour-matched silver gaffer tape. The bike runs fine, but I took it back home (I'd only been out for a few minutes!) and got in the car instead and made my journey that way.

Now, whose big idea was it to make the new t-shirt pink and therefore vaguely attractive to ladies?!

Will an SV brake lever work as a replacement? I have one you can have, I dont need it. The only thing wrong with it is the span adjuster has smoothed off a bit, but its fine :)
