Try 400greybike forum for lots of info.
I think they are lovely looking bikes - I would have second thoughts about buying one that isn't atleast standard colour scheme though....mainly because race rep jobs look ghey :D |

Re: Honda NC30 VFR400
Have a chat with Lozzo - he has a bit of experiance with honda V4's
Anyway, the engine is really good, very well engineered. The plugs are hard to get to, but its only a bit worse than the SV. Valve clearances are easy to adjust, just use a screwdriver...no shims! Wemoto and david silver spares are the places to go for parts, you can get everything you need (even head gaskets!) |

Re: Honda NC30 VFR400
I was looking at them for a while recently, one went for £370 on ebay about 50 miles away from me. Needed new fairings and a full service. If my situation was different (i.e not a student, had somewhere to work on it etc) I would have snapped it up in an instant.

Re: Honda NC30 VFR400
I am just parting ways with my NC30 on Friday after having it 2 months. Now, I buy and sell a lot of bikes and to me, 2 months is a LONG time to stick to one machine.
I had always previously knocked 400's but simply had to try one after owning most other machines under the sun. My NC is amazing. Gorgeous, gorgeous engine that is silky smooth and has a nice kick in the pants at 8000 revs. It's a revvy beast, don't get me wrong but it just works so well. Handling is fantastic and it's a really light machine. I'm swapping mine for a firestorm for no real reason other than I want something noisy. I can get 75mpg on my NC, a perfect commuter, tourer and back lane scratcher. In my opinion, truly a great bike. |
