suzuki DRZ400

im getting a bit bored of the trials bike so was thinking of selling and getting a DRZ, i know a few people on here have/had them, and i was just wondering what model to go for

i would want a spare set of wheels, so i could have enduro tyres and supermoto tyres, is it just a matter of swapping the wheels, or do you have to do the suspension?

:)

Its not as easy as swapping the wheels. The SM and E version have different calliper heights, its still perfectly possible but just takes a little longer than you may think.
Have you considered any of the KTM's?

so, what do you have to do then to swap the wheels? and what would an "E" be like on the road, with supermoto tyres.

i have never been a fan of KTMs, my mate had no end of trouble, which put me off,

i have thought obout the xr400 with electric start,

You cant put a 250mm offroad rotor on without changing the lower fork leg to an RM 47mm one

Re: suzuki DRZ400

Actually... you should just be able to put the SM rotor onto the E wheel

Oh you mean having the big E wheels with slick tyres on? Yes thats a deadly simple swap, but this would mean you should buy the E (enduro version) not the SM because you dont really want knobblies on 17" wheels. The SM wheels are smaller (17")
There are some dual purpose tyres available in 17"

ahhhhhhhhhh so the sm wheels are smaller?

i would be getting the "e" version, as its yellow, and better, what im getting at is would "e" wheels be ok with supermoto style tyres. and can you get SM tyres to fit the "e" wheels.

Yep the Super Moto wheels are 17" like the ones on your blade are. Where as the Enduro wheels will be bigger. But I'm not sure what size they'll be...
