Temperature Issues
 

Hi, This is my first post so please be gentle! ;)

I've got a K6 fully faired, beautiful thing and I love it.

I've noticed on my first fews rides after a few months parked up for the winter that my temperature gauge fluctuates between 80 and 90.

It will gradually climb up to 90 then suddenly drop to 80 in 2 to 3 degree increments then climb up to 90/92 again continuously. Could this be a thermostat problem or is it normal... I'm positive it didn't do this before the winter!? :confused::confused::confused::confused::confused:

seems ok to me, as long as it's not too far over 100 will be ok

I would say completely normal.....mine used to fluctuate between 85 - 105 depending on how I was riding and whether I was in traffic or not.

I think the most I ever saw it at was 108 with the fan going crazy.

That's very normal temperatures. In heavy traffic, mine reaches 103, which is when the fan kicks in.

The thermostat takes a short while to cycle open and closed, so the temperature will fluctuate a bit - this is normal.

Yep, mine fluctuates as quickly as that too.
