Non starter - injection problem?
 

Hi Lads ans Lassies,

2005 SV650S
Had some overheating problem yesterday engine went up to 107 degreez and the fan hasn't came on. Left it overnight and set up an appointment with friendly mechanic for today to check the fan and coolant level etc...
Turned the key, lights on screen does all as usual but cannot hear the injection sound at all...? tried again and again... nothing! there is CHEC info on the screen thou?! Checked fuses all seems to be fine disconnected/connected ecu same with battery... nothing. Lately got 33bhp ecu mounted but its not the issue cause I've tried the original one. Should I mention that I have PC3?

Check the following items

Check your kill switch is set to the run position
Check you've not got it in gear with the sidestand down

It might be the sidestand switch playing up.

If its none of the idiot switches put it in dealer mode (search for TPS mod for how) and tell us what the fault code is.

dont worry! At box hill a while ago, I panicked bcause my chain was really really taught. I was fumbling around with my tool kit, ready to slacken off the chain.

Then i put it in neutral, chain was slack again lik eit should be. D'oh!
