New Gear Needed?

Ok i'm over in England in 2 weeks time, i need to order new gear a.s.a.p.

Helmet - Im looking at the Arai Condor in White, one question i measure 59cm head, which on this http://www.sportsbikeshop.co.uk/moto...t_prod/143/585 site measures Large, but my last Tackachi helmet was a medium, and i think large will just be too big? Should i buy Medium and take the risk.

Gloves - I'm looking at these http://www.sportsbikeshop.co.uk/moto...prod/577/33557

Just for a general better WP Glove really, i got a summer glove but they're not waterproof, really i need advice on a new set of summer and winter gloves.

Back Protector - I am looking for a back protector, not an insert but one you wear, i wanna spend in the region of £80 or less really, any adivice on these would be great!

Waterproofs - What do you all do for waterproof overalls, as i wear RST Textiles and Boots and they're DEFINETLY NOT waterproof :P. Cheers Matt.

Forcefield back protectors get very good write ups and are spot on in your price range.

If you're over in the UK, then why not go to Hein Gerike in Liverpool if you're catching the fwerry. Good choice of waterproofs and gloves

My Arai Viper is a medium, but the label also says 57-58cm on it. You might be able to get thinner internal padding (cheekpads and so on) to give you the extra cm you need, however.

Ride magazine product reviews are quite helpful in judging how good some bits of kit are.

Personally I'd try a helmet on first. I was all up for buying a Schberth, but when I tried one one I didn't like it. Tried an Aria on, and loved it straight away. Saved £200 by not buying a Schuberth.

Plus then you'll know what size you want, as they ain't all the same.

Ok so this is where i'm upto so far, opinions would be nice...

Back Protector - http://www.sounddistribution.co.uk/p...recnumber=1549 - Forcefield Pro L2

Neck Warmer - http://www.sportsbikeshop.co.uk/moto...ent_prod/32106 - Edz Lightweight Multitube

Over Trousers - http://www.sportsbikeshop.co.uk/moto...ent_prod/33286 - Richa Rainwarrior Trousers

Over Jacket - http://www.sportsbikeshop.co.uk/moto...ent_prod/33270 - Richa Rainwarrior Jacket

Thats the equipmeant i'm looking at so far, i don't have long to make my descisions as i need to order today or tomorrow really to make sure i have it all for 2 weeks time when i'm in the UK.

Any opinions on these items or things anyone would change would be great?

Oh, and if you are stuck for time, check with sound distribution before you order-they didn't get something of mine in for 4 weeks, despite taking my money. I wouldn't use them again TBH.

Don't think you can beat Sealskins for waterproof socks

Re: New Gear Needed?

Or plastic sandwich bags for over your normal socks. Sealskinz are fabby tho.

Can't beat Marigold rubber gloves for total waterproofing under normal gloves either :D
