Engine Seized
 

Hi,

Wondering if anybody can help.

Loud banging rattle type noise loss of power. Now seized.

curvy 1999 model.

I do not no enough about engines to even attempt to fix / diagnose problem.

If there is anybody in the Greater Manchester area willing to help I would be willing to pay.

I can drop the engine and take it to somebody to have a look at.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Was the oil level low?
Either way you will probably be needing a new (used)engine.This tends to be by far the cheapest and quickest fix when they go bang.And if you can drop the shagged engine you can stick the new one in,thus saving fortunes paying garages to "have a look at it".

and also when you get time break the removed engine out and look at it yourself.

yeah there as a rattling noise. and yes the oil level was very low (my own fault i no!)

how much am i looking at for a used engine?

YC where would I get one from for that price? Do you no of anybody with a spare in good condition?

Has anybody on here got one they would part with??

Seen them go on eBay for that, also breakers. They will ask for more but won't get it.

All the breakers i've spoke to all want at least £500
