Recommend me panniers
I think some panniers will come in handy for extended trips, Oxford ones are the obvious choice, how do they fit exactly? Any superior alternatives?
Thanks! |
Re: Recommend me panniers
I've got the oxford humpbacks. They work fine even with high level pipe + pillion + loads of crap bungied on the back rack.
If you use tailpack and panniers you can fill in the gaps with more stuff too :-P |
Re: Recommend me panniers
Yeah, it'll be for me + missus going touring. One rucksack won't be enough.

Re: Recommend me panniers
We've managed plenty stuff in panniers + rack + tankbag. Enough for a week camping without expanding the panniers or tankbag.
What bike is it and what exhaust? I only got the humpback ones because of high level pipe. Normal ones are far cheaper. |
Re: Recommend me panniers
I went away for 5 days with camping gear + gf. Camping crap was on a rack, panniers and tankbag weren't expanded and we had **** loads of room still.
Just get lots of bungees and bungee nets. They'll hold anything if you put enough on ;) They were the basic oxford jobbies |

And a ratchet strap around all the crap on the rack http://forums.sv650.org/picture.php?...&pictureid=699 |
Re: Recommend me panniers
Apart from the tent, what the hell is all that on the back? haha

Roll matts and a gallon of petrol

Re: Recommend me panniers
Ahh looks good! :)
Any type of rack better than the rest, or all much and such the same. I have oxford tail pack + panniers, but theyre the first time ones (cheaper) and dont fit together very well.. :( |
Re: Recommend me panniers
Well the renntec one of mine had a sticker on it suggesting a poxy 5kg weight limit. Obviously it works much better without the sticker.
There are better ones out there. |
