Headlighty no worky

I'm coming to the end of my bike build, its going to be a road legal track hack. My issue is that the headlights don’t switch on :( (99 faired bike)
When I move the switch the clock lights and tail light do come on but not the main lights. The bulbs look ok by eye.
Any suggestions?

Fuse is my first thought, are the headlights fused independently of the rest?

yes they are, also check the relay ( both under the seat).

Cheers Mark.

Curvy does not have headlight relay it's all through the switch.

You say it's a fresh build, if so the check all connectors around the headstock and the back of the tupperware if the fuses are OK.

Pointies are just wierd. They've got function to disable the headlight through the starter switch... Some manner of witchcraft or communism if you ask me.

Wiring?
Might be worn like mine where. Check the wiring out of the fuse box under the seat for holes etc where it touches the frame.

Right after some fiddling around and working on other parts of the bike I've come to investigate the headlights further.
Now both lights come on when the high beam switch is on but I get nothing when they should be on normal beam.
So which light should come on on normal beam? This is a UK spec faired '99 bike.
And any ideas for other things to check after fusses and bulbs?

I had an issue where my lights just stopped working (but all other electrics worked a treat)... took it to Suzuki and they eventually tracked it back to... the starter switch! Something to do with the contacts in there, controlling the power to the lights when trying to start the engine...
