Track day pads

I need some pads I can't glaze, I tried a set of carbon lorraine which glazed very quickly, then I got a set of EBC HH pads which were better but I still glazed them. Has anyone tried the new EBC extreme pro pads? or would a set of Brembo Road and Track pads be better. I don't want to go for out and out race pads as I ride on the road as well.

Re: Track day pads

I must say I'm a little confused.

I've run on track days in inters with:
Goldfrenn
Ferodo
Tokico (Kawasaki OE for the ZX6R)
And whatever happens to be in the SV at the moment (I'd guess OE/Vesrah)...

I've never glazed a set on track. So I'm lacking a frame of reference. Are you certain that your calipers are in perfect working order, as at track pace even the smallest amount of dragging will cause a problems with heat build up.

I would have thought for a properly working brake system, any sintered pad would be fine.

my calipers are clean and well maintained and don't drag and I do a cool down lap at the end of the session, the fluid doesn't boil and is fine for the ride home but my pads still glaze. When I bought the bike it was running organics, could that have contaminated the disks somehow?

If the calipers are in good nick then it may well be worth going with Johnnyrod's suggestion then, unless someone else has a better one?

I would doubt an organic pad would contaminate a disc with anything that would cause you trouble with the next set of pads.

I'm assuming the pads are bedding in correctly and have full contact with the disc when you're experiencing issues?
