Radio Interferance
Fitted one of these radios (got it plugged into my autocom)
http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Motor-Bike-Mot...3A1%7C294%3A50 got it positioned under the pillion seat only problem is i am getting interference off the engine is there a way i can cancel out the interference, ive put a ferris ring around the autocom output lead anyone know what else to do? |
Re: Radio Interferance
I remember buying somethign specifically for this years ago for a car i had. A "rectifier" coems to mind but tbh i'm not 100% certain what it was called. But it was from hellfrauds and was only very cheap and easy to fit.
Unless of course what you fitted is the modern eqivalent but i have no idea what a "ferris ring" is. Cant be a ferris wheel cos there aint that much space under the seat  |
Re: Radio Interferance
Buy a ground loop isolator - the signal from the radio will be compared by the autocom amplifier to it's 0V connection. Because of various other electrical systems, mainly the ignition, it is normal that the 0V at the radio will be slightly different, hence the noise - google or ebay GLI or ground loop isolator.
Also, just make sure none of the cables run next to the alternator or ignition coils - as these give off a large amount of stray EM interfearence. |
Re: Radio Interferance
