Some of you have seen my other thread about the off I had on sunday.

Well I have had a call today from the company dealing with it asking when they can drop off my courtesy bike:confused:

I didnt know I was entitled to one but will have it if its paid for.

All I know is that its a 650.

Nothing else.....


Any ideas??

+1, is it a courtesy bike, or a rental bike the cost of which you or your insurer may become liable for if losses are not recovered? Your accident wasn't too clear and liability will be difficult to prove. The other insurance will just try to claim that you took the corner too fast and ran wide.

Its a courtesy bike and its already covered as part of my insurance.
I knows its going to be an iffy call but if i had run wide, I wouldnt have been 12 feet up the straight section of the road on the left hand side ;)

Insurance is always a sore point when it comes to claiming off someone else as people will always defend what they did or didnt do.

Both me and the muppet in the car are with the same insurer so the company will lose out either way.

It might be a bandit, i have a bandit courtesy bike. its alright, but a bit buzzy

I had 2 Hornets and an SV as my courtesy bikes after my off last year. No i didn't keep crashing them either, each had or developed a fault that made me have to change them.

they gave me a hornet first but i hated it do i got the vfr 800 instead the off before i got a cbrf 600 so its pot luck but dont be afraid to say you want something else just have a reasonable reason for it eg hornet was to small for me and it wasnt a over the tank bike like mine so i didnt feel comfortable riding it
