If you have a Gladius, does yours tick at 4,000?

I am about to take my Gladius in for first service.
If I am in 3rd at a steady 4,000 the engine sounds perfect. If I then increase the throttle, even a little, I hear a definite ticking sound. This is probably OK but is annoying, especially because the engine and bike are so great in general.
If you have a Gladius, does it do the ticking around 4,000 in 3rd? I want to be able to tell the mechanic what other Gladius owners are, or are not, experiencing.
Thanks.

Erm doesn't the op mean at 4000 revs?
Or the problem would presumably disappear at 4001 miles... :-dd

Its an SV engine.....they all bleddy tickk (most often a quirky harmless one)...hehehe

unlike mine that might have a stuck cam chain tensioner...in which case could be naughty. Its only just started to tick so its plausible this is the problem.
