Would it be hypocrisy to..........
report someone for having an illegal plate when you yourself have one.........
Well the answer is obviously yes, isn't it. However if you then add the the following, at what point does it become ok. 1) The plate was grey on black 2) The spacing had been altered to spell out a word "@ 80SS @" @ symbols to not put the full reg on the internet. 3) The car was a BMW 4) The car was an X-Series 4x4 5) The standard of driving was consistant with BMW's driven around Brixton..... Answers on a poll please :) |
Re: Would it be hypocrisy to..........

Re: Would it be hypocrisy to..........
Nothing irritates me more than haveing a number plate like that, i saw a merc once and it had screws in each corner to hold it on, then in the middle of front and back in some letters / numbers he stuck the coloured screw caps on to make it look like it spelt a name shouldnt be allowed a personal plate if they are going to abuse it.

Re: Would it be hypocrisy to..........
You and your class war
However in this case it is probably the drug trafficking classes. As an aside I saw one of those curvey/flat BMW 4x4s the other day in Matt Black. I was so impressed I nearly traded in my Range Rover for one. |

Re: Would it be hypocrisy to..........
An illegal plate is an illegal plate.
It's either legal, or it's not. There's a saying about people in glass houses involving stones... |
Re: Would it be hypocrisy to..........
I'm sure that the same cops who waste their time giving tickets to bikers with small plates, instead of solving real crimes, will be along shortly to waste even more time on Mr BMW... ;) :p

Re: Would it be hypocrisy to..........
:) even on a nova it would, if it says (this aint correct its just something ive made up) A A55HLE instead of AA55 HLE (sorry only example i could come up with) then you may think wtf? and by the time theyve booted it after crashing into you you might not of got it.

Re: Would it be hypocrisy to..........
I don't agree. There's reasonable and downright stupid and flouting the law.
Like a smaller but perfectly legible and legally fonted smaller plate so it don't get broken trail riding plate ;) compared with a plate that looks like your name, same way as I can type c0ck here. If it was that black and white, plod would never let us off for this and that would they? |
Re: Would it be hypocrisy to..........
I used to have J12 UMS as my personalised number plate. It was illegal however as I changed the spacing but apart from that the font and style of the plate was as it should be.
Basically it read. J12UM S |
