Good roads near Bodiam

Hi guys, not sure why we didn't think about asking this earlier, but we in the Thames Valley section are going camping near Bodiam castle, where are the nice roads for a ride on Saturday? Of course you are all welcome to have a ride with us if you know anywhere nice!

Cheers
Nick

Okie dokie

Plenty good roads round there.

A good little route
A262 to Biddenden
Right on to the A28 to Tenterden
Left onto the 2080 towards Appledore
As you go through Appledore, you take a sharp left across a bridge;
turn Immediate right (Signposted Rye) This is the military road :D
This takes you to Rye, follow the main road round Rye. Park up for chips :)

From there plenty of routes back. The A259 towards Hastings is preety ok. Hirpin at winchlesea :) or the B2089 to Cripps corner then right back to Bodiam or
From Battle take the A271 to the A267 Turn right onto that. At Horam stop off at Wessons cafe (Formerly Ogri Cafe) for a Burger, then left out of there up to the A265 to the A21. At hurst Green turn right and follow signs back to Bodiam.

Thanks very much for the response Viney! We managed to see it on Andy's phone on Saturday morning so we followed exactly what you recommended for our Saturday ride out. There were some very nice roads and views indeed. Some needed a bit of a repair though! We had a great time visiting Kent, its nice and warm down there for you lot!
