1st attempt gsxr forks failure
as you know i got the gsxr front end so being an idiot i tried to put it on so heres how it went
1 sv forks off with some ease, minimal cursing ,good start, i thinks this wrenching stuff is easy 2 gsxr forks going on, now bear in mind im using wife weight on back to keep front up and bricks under sump, get it 80% in head stock but wont go any futher due to angle, so brut force and ignorance gets it a bit futher, but managed to destroy bottom bearing on route, so have halted work for now with the forks on castle nut, we will see what tomorrow brings so org any pearls of wisdom |
Re: 1st attempt gsxr forks failure
Don't try fitting whole lot! Fit yokes, then forks, then wheel. Then rest of it...

Re: 1st attempt gsxr forks failure
You shouldn't have to force it at all! It should slip in nice and easy, oh as an actress once said to a bishop.....

Re: 1st attempt gsxr forks failure
Damn rite, 24 pack of miller holding her down, to be honest, might even look at modding a slab on the back end, just to balance out the awesomeness of the front end :D
