Timing Retard Eliminator (TRE) for SV1000
I've searched for TRE and found the endless re-posts from people asking if they're any good etc... but they all seem to relate the sv650...
Does anyone know how much retard there is on the thousand and will it make much of a difference? Considering a PC3 in the far and distant future to cure the sub 3k revs roughness, and also a slight surging problem when on constant throttle at motorway speeds (searching on svportal seems to suggest it's a recurring problem on the anniversary version of the sv1000, although others have pointed to alsorts of things such as Throttle Bodies and other things I can't think of right now)... So, TRE FOR SV1000 - YAY OR NAY? |
Re: Timing Retard Eliminator (TRE) for SV1000
The surging is usually caused by it running weak, i now have a pc3 which has sorted all the problems.
My bike had a tre fitted when i got it and it seemed to run better without it. |

Oh had it dyno'd and the map checked this week. 109.1bhp with a standard filter and viper cans.

i think the answer is the same as it is with the sv650, not worth doing
