Quick question I have yet to spot an answer for: How many magnets are required to be attached to the rotor? Pointy bike if it makes any difference.

An even amount, in even spaces i believe, so four ??

I know the K3 uses four, but have heard of some bikes needing eight

from what i have found out so far, any K series with a lambda sensor are 8 magnets and all the rest are 4.

Would that be the later model bikes? Mine's a K5, and I'm reasonably certain it's not equipped with one? (haven't actually looked that closely tbh, and I've not owned the bike for very long)

It's not the end of the world, buy 8 magnets and bolts, if your speedo reads half with 4 magnets on... bolt the other 4 in 8)

K6 needs 8.
