Change of Colour - DVLA Notice

Tried searching, but my keywords haven't produced any results :(

Can anyone explain what the process is with regards chnaging the original colour of my bike.

As my panels are scratched and scraped, looking on eBay I could replace the panels with a complete new set for less than a full repspray.

Do I then have to pay the DVLA to update my V5, and is the bike legally road worthy with the colour change update pending.

Thanks.

Holdup...That sounds easy enough, to do without much hassle.

Thanks.

You may want to inform your insurance as well, idk if they would be bothered by a colour change but you know what they are like!

make sure you do it as as said insurance will use owt to stop paying out and if (god forbid) the bike gets nicked the police will have a harder job finding it as afaik the stolen details on the police computer come from dvla not your statement

Probably worth while taking photocopy of V5 before sending it?
They lose licences!
