Any Gixxer gurus out there?

Quick question. Friend of mine is having to redo fork seals after 3 weeks, possibly given duff info on amount of oil to use. Was wondering if any techies out ther could give me a clue as to the correct amount/grade of oil required. Bike is a 1990 750 L Slingshot - first of the USD's. Been trawling net, but all i've come up with so far is 428m/l of 10W per leg - just wondered if anyone could confirm this - TY
