First mods done...
Just finished my first 2 mods to the bike. (curvy s) It was lowered with the official suzuki kit when I bought it (25mm??) but fitted a 40mm jack up in its place, much better, feels much sportier now and I don't feel like I'm riding a midgets bike!
Also after an hours hacking away the standard monstrosity earlier I've fitted a Fuel stainless can, what a difference! Took the baffle out before fitting of course.... Not too loud, just right. Constant throttle and low revs and she purrs along, but open her up and she roars with the best of them! Not as loud as my old firestorm on full race microns but in a way a better noise, that got a bit much and sounded like you were riding a pnuematic drill on the motorway! So far am impressed with the sv, not the fastest bike I've had by a long way, but in the real world one of the most useable. Anyway enough of my ramblings, now to plan my next changes! |
Re: First mods done...
Nice one m8y. I agree with your last sentence whole heartedly. The SV is far from being the biggest/fastest bike i've owned, but it's quite possibly the most fun i've ever had with my clothes on. First mod I did on mine, after getting it roadworthy, was the homemade undertray mod - looks ace after all the mudguard/plastics have gone from the backend.
