K & N Filter
just a quick one, can I change standard air filter for a K & N, I'm using a blue flame end can with baffle in, or will I need a Power Commander

Re: K & N Filter
Pointy or curvy?
Element or complete air filter? |
Re: K & N Filter
K7 (pointy) just the air filter element
|
Re: K & N Filter
using just the filter and can is ok....you will get some slight pops on the over run which sounds nice but up to u mate
|
Re: K & N Filter
Did the same to mine - seems to pull slightly better thru the revs + the pops sound nice
|
Re: K & N Filter
what about fitting it in a curvy with a can?
|
Re: K & N Filter
How about chopping off the snorkel too (doesn't look like it will come off any other way, or will it)?

To be honest don't expect much noticable gain with the k&n, bmc are supposed to be better although I wouldn't know, have only used the k&n.
panosm, same as just put it in and go, either case power commanders aren't much benefit if any for what £200 or so. Better and cheaper to take it to a rolling road and get it set up that way if you so wish. |
