Has it had new barrel/piston recently? As with any 2T of that milage, tbh. I'm not sure about the Honda, I'm basing this on my old RS) but it was piston checked every 4,999 and a new barrel at 15k, (although 10k was recommended by my old buddy...never got that far though, sold mine at 3250 lmao!) Basically as long as it feels right..no knocking under power, etc.

i echo JB's post there - is there any indication of the pisont and barrel being re-newed?

At that sort of milage, it may be due, if its not already overdue...

Ditto.

I have had one of these for a while but got knocked off it.
Same as above see if they have evidence of top end build. To be honest mine had around 16000 miles on it and it ran fine.
The switchgear like it get stuck mainly the high beam switch.
Rear shock rusts at the top very quickly.
Check for leaking fork seals (the front end is spongy anyway)
Check finish on brake caplipers as they tend to rot.

Good bikes NSR's
