My SV not starting
got on bike, turn key to 'on' position, lights comes on ok, normal etc. clutch in and press the starter button, motor turns over, a few seconds later cuts off
lights on the panel is still on, so clutch in and start again, motor makes a little turn then everything cuts out! :( key is still in 'on' position, but lights on panel are now gone, turned the key a few times still nothing, not a light, noise... i have no idea  i've checked the killswitch, sidestand position. all the fuss in the main fuss box are fine. I'm now charging the battery, but I dont think its the problem. Could it be the starter relay? Edit: my bike was in a Arson Arrack last week, could this be the cause? there are no surface damage to the bike, but could the heat cause some sort of interenal damage? but then again the bike get hot running normally anyway so I can't see it being the cuase. cheers guys |
Re: My SV not starting
I wouldnt of thought so if its cutting every thing out, maybe just flat it happened to me once or could be some thing more serious, maybe the battery couldnt handle the heat from the fire?

Re: My SV not starting
The batery might have got hot and sort of discharged itself...batteries dont like high temp or low temp.....but then it gets arm around the battery when your riding anyway
Let us know what goes on |
