how do i find out when my bike was first registed

my bikes first mot is up soon and in my log book its not been put, is there anywhere on the net i can find out.

thanks for that , just checked it and some thing is well wrong it says the date of regisration was 09 09 2006 but i got on 24 08 2006 and it was second hand how can this be:?:

no idea, i just checked all my vehicles through it and they all show up correctly...

Assuming it's a UK bike bought through the official importer, on the registration document it will say 'declared new at first registration' and the date will be given.
