Hi again

Hi to all. I used to have a 2001 SV and visit this site. I've been away for a few years now since I sold the bike but am now looking at getting another one as a second/project bike.

One of the 'projects' I'm planning is to fit an alternative front end and am currently reading up on this, looks like a GSXR fork is the way to go. Am I right in thinking that the later 'pointy' bike has better/more modern options for this?
Any suggestions on how much I should expect to pay for the individual parts?

Also, on the 'pointy' bike what revisions have there been such as CATs being fitted (I've also heard of twin spark)?
One of the reasons I want the bike is to use for commuting, I used to get really good MPG from my curvy, is the pointy bike better as I'd expect with FI or worse as I'd expect with a CAT?

Thanks in advance for any answers, apologies if this is all contained on the site but I am reading though a lot of good info and I just wanted to (re) make contact.
