Blue 1999 paint code?

I need some help...
someone may of posted this already, but i dont have the time to go through the site and the search didnt bring anything up.

My dad has just bought me lower fairings for my 1999 blue SV650s
which i discovered whilst uncovering my bike this morning...
excellent surprise :D

but the lowers are alot darker blue than mine.

I want to get them sprayed to match but am having trouble finding what the colour is called or what the code is?

They're a lighter blue with a tinge of green in them.

I think there is a picture on my profile..

Any suggestions?

Y7E is the candy jay blue of a 99 vintage

replaced by YC2 grand candy blue which your lowers will be currently

You're in select company with that shade of blue!

If you get the lowers painted it will be very difficult to get an exact match.

The yc2 candy grand blue uses a silver base then a tinted lacquer to give it the exact effect. Ive painted some bits before and its not easy to get it exact.

I think most people who colour match use metallic paint like on cars instead of mucking about with silver paint

it is the base before colour that determines the shade metallic is the fragments in the paint. The base coat and lacquer play a serious part in determining final coulour.
