Self-Service.

Hi Peeps,

Going to carry out a service and have a general poke about on Saturday. Could someone tell me the torque settings for the spark plugs please, didn't have the owners manual and not going to have time to pick up a Haynes.

Also, Mobil 1 10w40 Oil will be OK to use won't it? or is there a difference between Car engine and Bike engine oil, wouldn't have thought so personally, but I'm more than happy to be put right.

And if anyone can point me in the direction of a manual i can download would be pretty cool

Regards

Rob.

All of the questions have been asked before and have been aswered before - usually in great detail. Use the search function if you want more info than I provide below.

The summary being

Torque setting - see reply before this (saved me looking it up for you)

Oil - There is a difference - dont use car oil in a bike

Manual - click on the logo at the top of the page then look on the ,ain site, there is a link to a bittorrent download. Alternatively got to www.thepiratebay.org and search there.

Car oil will ruin your clutch, it contains friction inhibitors which dont like wet clutches!
(cars have dry clutches, bike clutches are wet, lubed by engine oil)
