Normandy Camp Sites
Planning a 3 day solo trip to look at the D-Day beaches in a few weeks and wondered if anyone could recommend any camp sites in the Caen area?
Cheers. |
Re: Normandy Camp Sites
No personal recommendations but looking to do a solo trip myself in a few weeks and have been using this site:
http://www.eurocampings.co.uk/en/eur...ndie/calvados/ It covers the whole or Europe as well and you can specify certain factors to narrow down your search. Also, a couple of book recommendations: http://www.amazon.co.uk/Caravan-Camp...7605345&sr=8-1 http://www.amazon.co.uk/Alan-Rogers-...7605345&sr=8-3 |

Re: Normandy Camp Sites
No probs, have you booked your ferry yet? Sites like www.ferrysavers.co.uk or www.ferryonline.co.uk are good to compare prices and routes.

Re: Normandy Camp Sites
I stayed here earlier this year, albeit with the family. It's more geared towards a family type of holiday but it's ideally located for the war cemetries, beached etc.
