Cops n plates on Cat & Fiddle

On a ride tonight over the Peak District, we got stopped by a traffic cop and three of us got £60 fine each for small plates:(

The officer in question said that it was his only job to do plates, he didn't even look at the racefit exhausts on two of the bikes, the race cans on a RSV, the bald tyre on a R6 or the dark visors.

Once the camera in his car picks them up, if he dosen't issue a fixed penalty, he has to report to his senior as to why he didn't issue one:thumbdown:

Put your legal plates back on, you have been warned

They're having a drive atm because they just doubled the fine to £60

Legal plate this summer, by October they'll have reported enough people to tick the right boxes in their "road safety" targets, nobody will care anymore and the less legal ones can go back on

I think its more to do with the camera recognision system

so I don't think they will let up on it

Aye they were doing this a week or so ago when we went up. The fine's definitely non endorsable isn't it? There are rumors you get points now aswell as the £60.
TBH some plates are ridiculous (more so on cars though) shame thye can't just pick on the ones that take the p1ss....
I'd far rather them be doing this than exhausts though.

I've seen DavieSV's plate. It was perfectly legible.

Simply a case of "f*ck off and catch some real criminals".

I got done in Macc (about half mile from C&F) 2 weeks ago for my plate. Was lucky though, just a rectification notice.
