Hi,

Just a quick introduction after joining and posting a cheeky wanted ad! My name is Matt from Preston Lancs and I passed my Direct Access yesterday ;) I have a race rep 125 which I am currently selling to hopefully help finance a nice SV650. I have had a look round the forum and the banter/ advice seems great - so thought I would join up.

Look forward to hopefully getting involved in the SV community and finding my perfect bike.

Hi Matt and welcome! I passed my Direct Access last friday and there has been no stopping me since :-) I already had my bike waiting in the garage for me and have done nearly 500 miles since then, it's been fantastic (apart from when i dropped it but we wont mention that ;-)).
Congratulations on passing, good luck finding a bike and enjoy the forum (they're a mad bunch but very knowledgeable, and very helpful and patient with us newbies :-)) x

Congrats on passing, and welcome to the forum.

Folks on the right side of the hill meet at Rivington on a Tuesday for a natter, and there are a couple of rideouts planned - keep an eye on the Pennine Massive for details.

Have had a couple of Sunday morning rides to the 'barn and put over 600miles in 4 weeks on this:

Nice, a friend of mine was looking at one of those but ended up going down the Aprilla route.

Dont know if you are interested but myself and DavePreston are going for a bimble over to Halifax tomorrow afternoon, if you have nothin on you are more than welcome to join us! All back roads so should be fun!

Thanks for the offer Irksy - work calls tomorrow so I will be with you in spirit if not body.

I would probably struggle to keep up with you guys on those roads anyway - I followed a friend on a 600 last week and my valves took a punishing....:(

Once I have my SV - hopefully within a week - I will be right there.

Welcome Matt,
congrats on passing your test.

From now on until the day you hang up your riding boots is where you start to learn how to ride a motorcycle....
you can never have too much experience ;-)
