Brand new iPod - what a con!
 
Just bought a brand new iPod touch from the Apple online store and had to pay to update it to the latest firware, what a bloody rip off!

Bought a touch off ebay for a good price. Have had it over two years now, it's been in constant use really and is still going strong.

I've not been asked to update anything that costs money on it. So far the price i paid is all i've forked out. Good bit of kit IMO. :) Hope you have no more trouble with yours...:rolleyes:

What is the competition to ipods? I don't even know of any stylish reputable music players apart from ipods?
I've heard of Zen, but not sure what they offer, I guess walkman offer something as well, bu not sure what.
And the iPhone is £550? payg Why is it so expensive when you can get a whole decent portable computer for £400 (or whatever price you like)

I refused to pay the price for a touch a couple of months ago and bought a 120Gb Classic instead.
