Re: Bike = Wet
bike covers are quite small, im sure you could find somwhere for one?
under pillion seat rucksack in the office (or place of work) folded up and bungeed to the pillion seat etc |
Re: Bike = Wet
haha, i fetl the same way when i used to be able to see it. then we moved sites and i had to park somewhere that i couldnt see it and it stopped bothering me.
Just make sure you give attention to the usual bits that can go rusty and use something like ACF50 (never used it myself but lots of others seem to) and WD40 on the bits that need it too. And dont look at it when its raining ;) |
Re: Bike = Wet
I feel the same, I've asked at work for motorbike parking and got told no, hence why I now park it in a car space as I know it winds the facilities manager up.
I've also asked for a shetler to park my pushbike underneath, and again got told no... I dont like leaving my good bike out in the rain even less than I like leaving my GSXR out in it. |
Re: Bike = Wet
Mine makes up for it... its parked in a underground car park. Drips oil and dirty water everywhere.

Re: Bike = Wet
Mines the opposite, it sits in a sheltered car park at work.. and out in the open at home, I use it day in day out so don't have the enthusiasm for constantly putting a cover on / taking it off

Re: Bike = Wet
When I used to have an office 4 senior staff and myself all with allocated parking, company cars would on sunny summer days use our bikes to go to work. We would park in our allocated slots and this would really wind up those who had to park on the general car park.
Our argument was the allocated car park was covered by CCTV. It was then suggested that the first bike in should park in their allocated slot and when ever any other bikes came in they too could use that slot, thereby leaving the unused allocated slot for somebody else. Yes great I am late in in the car and somebody assumes because I have not parked I will not be there and parks in my slot. Like hell. They did get round to installing a bike parking area eventually, Behind a hedge so it could not be seen from the office block. No camera coverage. Was it used? NFC |
