Pannier support.. anyone done it

Ok so I have some ace bagster throw overs. but they hang a little low and they bend my indis.. if I hold them up a wee bit and off the indis they look good..

so I am thinking of making a metal. easily removable frame to support them. , anyone done anything similar- any ideas?

nb b4 any lengthy sv ideas (i doubt it).. mine aint an sv- see avatar

It might be cheaper and easier to look for that company that makes an easy removable and mountable baggage holder? Tbh I'm not sure if it is a Pannier system, and I think the name is 'Fortuna'.

I've seen a Gixer with the mounts fitted and heard rave reviews about them.

Ben.

Quiff, buy a K6 or later GSX-R with integrated indis, then no bent indi issue, problem solved :)

Should the title of this thread be "pannier support"? Or are you after something to help Mandy hang on while the panniers are on the bike?

Nah you need to implement the following regimes

1. Take less stuff with you ;)

2. Mrs Quiff needs her own bike

Then you wont have a problem with panniers etc etc :D

hee hee ..

takin less stuff probably.. just went pannier route after mandy had to have the Kriega ruckky on her back.. it was comfy as you know just folk thought I had laden her up a bit as it looked big on her but dont realsie ya dont know u got them on.. so we gone now for Bagster cover and bag and bagster panniers.. Kriega stuff is ace jsut needed to move on to something so mand aint got it on her back..

so me have a US10 and a US10 with tank holder for sale soon me thinks.

I don't think carrying a big pack is safe TBH. At high speed the aerodynamics can be weird.

I reckon, a couple of studs stuck up inside the rear subframe, a bit of bent ally to bolt on in the correct _n_ shape to support the bottom of the panniers. With some stick-on foam on the bottom of the / \ angles to stop them from marking the tupperware.
