Why are OEM tyres different?

Just been reading about the OEM BT-016's on the ZX. The "aftermarket" tyre appears to have dual compound on the front, and triple on the rear. The OEM are single compound on the front and dual on the rear. Link. I've heard tell of other OEM tyres having differences to the aftermarket versions.

Why do manufacturers do this?
