Misano MotoGP
 

I've got my tickets for the MotoGP at Misano and am planning my trip down through France from the 27th, staying at Siena for a few days and then travelling across to Misano for the 4-6th. Has anyone camped at Misano before? What's the score with camping at or near the track?

Any info/experiences would be very much appreciated!

Just got back yesterday after detour through France to see the Millau bridge.

The answer for me was and will be if I go again; the appropriately named Misano Camping at just under 17euros/day. Sited near the track at Portoverde and across the road from the beach. Brilliant. Hard day watching the practice/qual, then paddle the feet in the adriatic.

Also fun dodging the locals at the track on their scooters "parcheggio per moto?" for 5 euros in their gardens! Plenty of free parking but bit of a walk to the entrances.

Misano? You jammy beggar!

What did you make of the Millau bridge? We approached it from Albi (along the N999), along bits of the Tarn Valley - brilliant. We went over a hill and there it was, the Millau bridge....amazing. I thought going over it was so,so, but underneath it was astonishing, especially from my vantage point you could look down to the old bridge, but up to the new bridge. The next day (we camped that night in Millau), we got over the bridge for free (that bit of the Toll road is 7 Euros) as it was the Friday before the Bol d'Or and all bikes got to go through a wee slip road to the right!
