Nurburgring 21st/22nd/23rd August
 

Off with Bob Bobbleton again for a 3 day raid. Staying at the Blaue Ecke in Adenau.

Fresh tyres, BT002 soft front and medium BT003 just fitted ready for scrubbing in on track. May have new discs and pads too for the weekend.

Anyone else about or dropping through?

Could be one of my last trips of the year :(

I know the Ring isn't a heavy breaking track like the short circuits but you sure new pads and discs are a good idea? I'm sure you know what you are doing though mate. Have fun, you going to get your knee down round the Carousel?

Steady high 9 mins laps for scrubbing in the tyres and only gentle braking, should be fine. After half a lap I find tyres are mostly scrubbed in. I may have a quick few kms on the road to try and bed the pads/discs in before, depends if they turn up in time anyway.

Knee down in the Karussell was acheived for the first time on my last trip on sunday 9th August :D It was only a brief brush but now I'm looking forward to grinding it out a bit more there for the cameras ;)

Prep is going well, well was until the Grolsch and 30+ degrees made an appearance before I started:

Will be on the trailer before the end of tomorrow night, I promise! May have new brakes if they turn up, saw the delivery woman tonight and got all excited, but it was for a neighbour :(

Top weekend, 41 laps for me and 45 for Bob. We both got new PBs :thumbsup:

Tim I never realised before now, but you were there the same time as the young lad from my village on whose behalf I asked your advice! Doh! You could have said hi.... So if you noticed a 51 plate (I think) blue Clio Cup being ragged around the 'Ring this weekend, that was likely Matt :D

I saw a few UK clios, hope he had a good one, cracking weather and pretty quiet on track for a full weekend.
