Do you ever get that feeling you're being followed?

I was right to be paraniod!

Tues evening I was on the bike leaving Chelmsford to go back home after a cricket training session. It was about 9pm, the roads were clear and I was just coming off the parkway and on to the Chelmer Valley Road (A138), bear round to the left in a 40 zone with the national starting 80 yards ahead.
There was nothing else about and thought about opening her up, but I caught a glimps of a bike that was not there a couple of seconds ago.
So I waited for the NSL and then sped up to 60ish and the bike behind me throttled it to catch me, I moved over thinking it wanted to get past but it just stayed behind. (Please bear in mind all I can see of the bike are a pair of badly adjusted headlights that were blinding me)
It really felt like I was being observed for my IAM again - Didn't like it at all.
Anyhoo, got to the next roundabout, signalling right, and left the bike behind, but it soon caught up with me and sat just off to the right of my bottom. Next roundabout the same thing, and the next, and the next.
After about 3 miles it finally overtook me and went down Essex Regiment Way at about 70. The rider had a Hi Viz with 'POLICE' written on it.
Paranoia is great sometimes! I do think he was trying to goad me a bit....

Watch out Essexers! They're coming to get us!

Make a complaint if you felt he was too close to you and also about the headlights.

SK - got a mate in essex plod, just asked a question or two. Also I think I know the copper, if I'm right he's a real git who would nick his own granny for farting (just ask EssexofEssex {who didn't get nicked by him}) so maybe stopping to tell him of his bikes defect might of put his back up slightly....

Spid - thought about that but he couldn't keep up round the roundabouts, so he wasn't going to stop my enjoyment. I just thought that if he was a copper then I'd give him no reason to tug me (apart from maybe my numberplate - it's got a St. George's Cross on it)
