Dunno, depends how far you would drive to go and view a car really. I've got my auto trader search set to cars within 40 miles of my postcode. Its only a laugh so no hard and fast rules to it...

40 miles is the same as what i choose when i look for cars or bikes so ill spose ill use that as well *goes to search*
