So I am riding on the A5 when in the distance I spot what I think is a baby deer in the distance crossing the road it gets all the way into the central reservation it then hears me coming and pops its head up. I start thinking don't you dare, just stay put.

Of course the thing starts running back and thats when I see that it is the biggest rabbit/hare I have ever seen in my life!!! Is there such thing as a super rabbit? Cos this was mad big.

Anyway I hit it with my front wheel and it made the bike jump off the ground, front first then back. Had a bit of a tankslapper but it subsided thank god.

So I stop to check to see if everything was okay, luckily no broken plastics but there was a big red streak down the side panel then down the swingarm then the wheel, blood and guts everywhere!!

So that was my :(

Immediately after the lay by after checking the bike I pull out onto the dual carriageway start picking up speed again and turn a bend to see a 2 police cars set up with another further down. So if the super rabbit hadn't hit me I would have certainly been tugged for excessive speed.

So the :( was actually a :) which to me now makes it a :neutral:

Mmm maybe I should look to see if it is stuck in the fairing somewhere.

pheasants are the biggest pain down here, they run or jump at you, i hit one at least once a week

brings my food bills down tho :D

Yeah I took it to a jet wash. Wasn't going to touch it with my bare hands. There was a lot of blood and guts.

I don't want to bring down the light hearted spirit of the thread, but if I'd seen something running in the road "in the distance" as you say, I'd be slowing down.
