dam sods law!!
i went to watch the Bournemouth air-show today, i couldn't make up my mind all week whether or not to go.
Friday i was nearby and saw the red arrows and battle of britain memorial flight in the distance, yesterday i was down that way seeing a friend, again close but not there long enough to see anything (saw a sea king that was it). yesterday afternoon i'd herd that Carolyn Grace's spitfire was down Southampton airport so thought i'd make a proper effort with it today and go to watch the airshow. rode right round to studland and sat on the hill with a stadium view right over Bournemouth and the sort of bay, got there a bit early so was sat about for a while before it was due to kick off 30 mins after it was due to start i had still seen nothing so decided to ride right into the centre to the airshow event itself....... still nothing. Then rode round to muddeford quay which is near the centre, i wasnt the only one there but still nothing..... decided to go home, got half way home and pulled over in the new forest as my ar5e had gone to sleep............ as soon as i look up "WTF!!" the red arrows go right over my head in formation :smt090 i don't know whether to go again tomorrow as i really want to see the vulcan |

I SAW IT!!!! :p:p:D:D:D
literally no lie, i opened the front door to go and put the bike away and there she was!! right over the house, engines cut back nice and low then powered up slightly, when she got over the airport she dipped her wings and powered off. i have to say it was one of the most eerily beautiful things i have ever seen, was amazing  |
