SV650 K3 33bhp Restrictor kit
 

Hello.

I'm looking at buying an SV650 K3 but I need it restricting to 33bhp. Can anyone tell me;

1. How much a brand new unit is?
2. What unit will fit and work, ie will a K4, K5 etc fit a K3?
3. Has anyone got one for sale?

1. £100 - £150 (look on ebay first, usually some on there)

Can usually pick up second hand one for about £20-£50 on fleabay.

I 'think' that a K3, K4 and K5 will fit and after that the connectors on the ECU are slightly different. Although someone who has seen both versions would need to clarify.

Search Ebay and post a thread in the wanted section of this forum, you really want the genuine Suzuki restrictor which was an ECU swap. Avoid the FI one at all costs!

Don't ask Suzuki for one as they cost over £200, unless you buy a bike from a Suzuki dealer and request one to be fitted in which case it is free.

Sorry, I forgot that bit...

2003-2005 (K3-K5) I know share the same connector, possibly the K6 also but I am bit rusty on the SV stuff at the moment.

To be honest, restricting it was the first thing i thought of, is it really worth risking maybe my licence and a fine for the sake of £50-£100? Its not like the 33bhp model can't keep up with the normal one. My dad has a 1200 bandit and my 400sv has no trouble keeping up with him.

I've seen on ebay a full power one for a k5 with a single conector at the bottom and i've seen a 33bhp one with two connectors at the bottom, not sure what year that was though.
