New text and drive ad

Re: New text and drive ad
i think its fair one but as usual no one will pay any attention to it
|
Re: New text and drive ad
good ad but as DP says will it make a difference? Maybe if they show it before, during and after Hollyoaks or fat benders it'll reach its target audience a bit.

Re: New text and drive ad
3 chavs and a ford ka in one hit?
result. And I am joking before people get the @rse... Really dont think people will pay much attention to it to be honest. Remember the think bike ads? Didnt stop people from pulling out in front of bikers did it? |
Re: New text and drive ad
I didn't say it would work, just thought it was a particuarly graphic one (which they don't normally show in the UK for fear of offending someone).

Theres been a few graphic ones over the last few years. One with the bike, the seatbelt campain and usually the drink driving ones too. The only stipulation with graphic ads are that they are shown after the watershed. |

Re: New text and drive ad
Girl i was training with at work said she eats breakfast, texts and does her make-up on the way to work in the car, even after she's been caught for driving on her mobile phone.
Ads can't really do that much though to change it. |

But I see more women, and people I'd assume 20 - 45 using their mobiles more than I do newbie drivers / teenagers. Obviously in different places, and times, and all the other factors my statement might not be true, but that advert I don't think will do the trick. I put it down to experience to a driver having an accident in that situation would be more effective, but unfortunatly it doesn't work like that. I'll always knock on people's windows at lights, queuing in roundabouts as I watched a program on ITV3 or 4 not so long ago that tested it can delay reactions up to 3.5 seconds. Being nearly knocked off my some tossa on a phone justifys my reason doing so. |
