Need to camp at a ride-out?

Saw this while browing the website for something else and thought I'd post it as it may be of use to somebody.

On threads for a number of org weekends I've seen posts like "I'd like to camp 'cos its the cheapest option and I'm on a tight budget, but I don't have a tent". This will certainly not be the best quality, but if you just need to do a couple of weekends each summer it may be good enough for you, and it's an end of season bargain down from 30 quid to a tenner.

I'm not on commission from go outdoors, but I thought I'd post this as well, it's a damn good price for a Vango tent (= good quality) and again may be of interest to somebody of they are worried about relying on a cheap one.

Might actually get one myself this weekend for the Welsh TT rideout, I have a decent quality big tent for the family, but my 2 man for solo trips is at least 15 yrs old and was the cheapest available then.

That is a good price for a Vango.

I managed to bore everyone at the AR who asked about my quaint retro Orange Vango Force Ten, which has been used at rallies since 1982 when I first got it. Its still going strong and testament to Vango's quality then.:ncool:

Ah, that was your tent!? We have one of those still. Used my 6/7 year old blacks one at the AR though - still wetproof and everything.

+1 on the Force Tens. They are superb tents and live up to their name. As much as I love the high tech ultra lightweight modern stuff, you can't beat the longevity and durability of the Force 10s ;).

Force tens are the godfather of all tents.

I did 3 exeds of the ten tors with mine and took it all over the place when I was a cadet many years ago:D

I used one when I was in the Army Cadet Force too. Also many years ago. Terrific tent.
