Chain Adjustment
The owners handbook shows the chain adjustment allowance with the chain moving down and up from its normal position for a total of 20-30mm (10-15mm each way), but the Haynes manual shows checking the movement just up to the swing arm. Which is correct?

Re: Chain Adjustment
The way I do it is check the measurement given by Suzuki half way between the rear sprocket and the front sprocket, moving the chain both ways, never have done it Haynes way cos it would be too tight and could end up causing problems. Hope this helps.

Re: Chain Adjustment
Always go with the manufacturers instructions. They built it.

Re: Chain Adjustment
follow what it says in the owners manual, the measurement should be taken with the bike on its side-stand also.

Re: Chain Adjustment
Thanks for the repies. Do you measure top of chain to bottom, or centre to centre
