sv tail gunner

hay peoples im new :) recently passed all my tests and bought a black curvy street fighter style with the upper fairing only and a belly pan :) LOVE IT! ok onto the serious stuff, iv bin looking at sv650s on youtube with the tialgunner exhausts http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=R6ky50D3Rhg

im not sure about the looks but i love the sound it gives the sv! closest thing to a no end can exhaust (which i would do since i love the sound but id rather keep my valves in a decent conditon) what is everyones thoughts? maybe theres an exhaust that sounds simular?
cheers :farao:

looks dangerous.. not sure I'd want to ride pillion with that thing a few inches away from my foot!

it's a bit gimmicky in my opinion. i know very little about this stuff though. my sv has (or had..) a Beowulf can on it, looked fairly understated but sounded fantastic without the baffle.

Geeky as fook

There are much better sounding zorsts than that too. My old leovinci race system had a lovely tone. YC has a butchered m4 system that's nice too. Scorpion street extremes sound good aswell.

Unless I had a streetfightery thing going on and it fitted in, I just don't see the attraction of having a pretend machine gun on my bike.
Bear in mind it could just be a decent microphone. I tried to record my leovinci's sound but everytime I revved it I just got whitenoise.
There's loads of nice sounding cans out there.

There was a chap on this years AR with one of those on his bike.

I followed him for a while. I dont think they are all that, the exhaust was quieter than the Yoshi is on my GSXR, I thought the tone wasnt very good either.

At the end of the day though its your money, its your bike, if you like it get on and buy one.

Whereabouts are you based ? If you get yourself to a local SV meet you can have a listen to everybody elses cans to get a proper comparison.

Best exhaust I have heard was the BlueFlame slipon can my SV had on it, my missus has a remus on her SV which also sounds good, IMHO much better than the tailgunner one did that I heard.
